Religious Freedom, Human Rights, and Beards…again

We noted an interesting human rights case from Alberta recently in which an employee alleges that the employer’s rule requiring a clean-shaven face violates his religious freedom.  Here is a story about a similar case from the U.S.   The laws are not the same, but you can see that the same issues arise:  can an employer’s attempts to create a safe work environment interfere with the religious freedom of the workers?
